This is the second time in 2 weeks to try this and it is good. Sorry about no pictures but both times late and was eating when I thought of the pic's.
Turkey legs with Butt Rub high direct at 400 for about 40 min. Then start useing the Bone Sucking Sauce for the last 20 min's.
One leg for dinner and the other 4 went into pinto beans this morning.
This is good legs.....

Mickey, the cook taking about an hour in all?

    Sounds like a great cook.

Hope the weather is being nicer to you. Those lot snow pictures were...

We have had a couple of great weather days, in the mid 40's which for this time of year is wonderful. Fip Flops and shorts type weather. It looks like 1 or 2 more days then we have 4 storms and back to single digit temperatures. The lowest temperature it has hit is -30° w/o wind chill. -18° isn't uncommon during the winter season.

Keep warm and thanks for the turkey leg post.

I love turkey legs. I've yet to try Bone Sucking Sauce. No one but me gets them off the turkeys. Nothing wrong with a good pair of legs.

Mickey, please wear some pants with that T shirt next time you go for a walk. We don't need you getting arrested this close to the Salado Gathering. :S

I cook whole turkeys because they are SOOO much cheaper than just buyin the breasts.I usually wind up throwin the legs /thighs away cause no one around here will eat the dark meat.I've even tried makin Ala King or soup or turkey salad outta it.They just won't eat it. Is there a trick for dealing with all the little bones/leaders in the legs?

Just pull them out of your mouth
Hoss you try lots of things. Try this with the legs:
Butt Rub on direct / high in dome / 375 / 45 min / then Bone Sucking Sauce the last 15 or so.
That is very good my friend....
