No woodworking skills whatsoever....
#1 Explain to you wife that you need a lots of tools.
#2 Remove all the safety equipment from the new tools.
#3 Buy more supplies than you need for you will make a few cutting mistakes, even consider using cheaper wood for your first project.
#4 Find a old guy in the neighborhood that has too much time on his hands but loves woodworking.
#5 Watch out for your fingers, because you have removed all the safety equipment, consider buying a good first aid kit.#6 Go to it and learn as you go. Brag on how easy it was. Never tell your wife what it really cost.
#7 Don't use oak or treated wood in a closed space.
#8 Fend of all the people that want you to make them one.
