  • Re: Anyone own a tilley hat?

So I broke the hat in this weekend
took kayaks out to tybee island to camp and fish
    worked flawlessly
It kept sun out of my eyes way better than a baseball cap ever has. kept sun off my neck which I think helped me not get as hot. Was very windy saturday and hat felt secure on head entire time (though I did not always feel as secure in kayak because how choppy it was)
already exceeded expectations. only regret is I did not buy earlier
  • Re: Anyone own a tilley hat?

You have to question all the "broke" folks who own an Egg.
    eh, it is all relative

I don't hesitate to spend a lot on a knife or boots. but I hate spending more than $10 on a t-shirt or buying drinks at a bar bc of costs per drink

certain things I convince myself of value purchases and others are splurges. the value purchases can be expensive like the BGE and the splurge could be a $15 shirt ha
  • Re: Two new cutting boards

This is one of my personal ones from same guy. Similar to one bought as gift but the one I have is a bit larger diameter
  • Two new cutting boards

These will be gifts for a couple getting married. Both are end grain. If you are in or near Columbia, SC I highly recommend this guys work. His price to quality ratio is fantastic
