  • Re: Hatch Chile Salsa

I guess this is just a southwestern thing.
If you don't appreciate New Mexico chilis, you are sad, sorry, taste impoverished individual!

They aren't the best for salsa, though.  They are best for making pork green chili.

lard + flour + pork + roasted green chilis + salt + maybe tomatoes = awesome. Eat it with tortillas, or over a burrito.

There are many different cultivars of the New Mexico Green Chile. They've even got some that are super hot.  Nothing close to a habanero, Thai, ghost, or anything like that, but they make up for it in mass.

  • Re: Windows 8?

I hate Microsoft as much as the next guy but Apple kind of sucks too, for a different reason. They always know what's best for you and you do it their way or else. If Apple had an ice cream store, there'd be one flavor, and it'd be whatever was Steve Jobs' favorite.

  • Re: Since you guys are so smart (joint pain)

I second the dehydration/electrolyte theory.  Stay hydrated and eat some bananas or some other potassium source. Gout tends to focus on one specific joint which is almost always the big toe. It will feel like you have glass in your foot.

Instead of drinking, I recommend a certain herb which is now quasi-legal in CO and WA.

  • Re: help!! with lump

Another problem is that they are aren't good for re-lighting. If you stir previously lit briquettes, they  crumble.

If you get done with a cook and need to do some egg/plate setter cleaning, now's the time.

Just hold your breath instead of buying some ugly shirt.
