It’s almost football season, so we’re perfecting our favorite tailgating and homegating recipes! Whether you like hamburgers, wings, brats, ribs or something cooked with beer, we have everything you’ll need for the perfect tailgate party. We always like inviting friends to join our tailgates because the EGG is about community and having fun, so make sure if you’re inviting company you make extra - the food will be gone before you know it! Don't forget dessert, either!

    Why? I have had my egg for 6 years and have vacuumed it maybe twice. I use my ash tool after every 3-4 cooks, almost never remove the firebox to clean it out back there and never have any problems getting to or maintaining temp.

    Some folks leave a layer of ash on the bottom of the egg to protect the ceramic from the super high temps. No idea if that works, but it sure won't if you vac all the ashes out! LOL

    For you plastic vac users, don't be surprised if you melt your shop vac (or worse) one of these days because you thought the coals were dead.
    I just read what a Power Smith vacuum is for  *** I would never vacuum hot coals or warm coals with my Rigid***  the exhaust adapter works great as a second filter and quiets the noise.
    For the people that think that a layer of ash is going to protect the ceramic on super high heat I have ocean front property in AZ if you are interested.    =)

    sounds legit to me but I will hold off until it is field tested by @SGH.  After last weekends camping trip and moving the yeti and MM I am over camping anyways.  This will be good for the deck.

    I love the SV threads. I also do yoga, running and golf 2-4 time a week just so I can fat out on the egg. 
  • Chicken with side salad

    I had told the little lady i would take her out but with LA traffic sometimes you never know when you will get home.
    So I decided to cook instead.  SV chicken with garlic, onion powder, one whole dried chili and butter.  Salad was avocado, red onion,  watermelon, S/P and balsamic glaze.  MM fired up to 500 degrees for a quick sear on a CI pan.
