  • Re: OT: Pit Boss at COSTCO: OT

Ron maybe you can start just one OT post that you keep posting to instead of multiple at a time? Something like What's Ron doing now?

Great post Ron. I missed the last 10 posts about it I'm glad I saw this one.

What the hell is your problem with RRP?

Dude you have issues if you cant get along with him

All he posts is OT crap every day. Most of the time it's stuff that's been posted many times before. I have even seen him post the same thing as he did the year before. Not really interested in the day to day happenings in his life especially when they are usually stupid crap.

Yeti is a nice idea but when you have a Coleman xtreme that keep ice just as long for a fraction of the price.  Let's just say that's a lot of beer and meat money you could have for that next camping trip B) I'm a big rtic fan also.  Yeti is just so salty!
I have 2 Coleman extremes in my attic cause I hate to throw things away. They aren't even in the same category as Yeti.
When it comes to the one characteristic most people  buy coolers for - holding ice for a few days - yes they are (as actual testing has shown).

On the other hand, the YETI's are bear proof (and that may be of actual importance to 0.1% of YETI owners) whereas the Xtremes are not.
I'm after a cooler for camping, are the Coleman as good temperature wise? I just want functional (ie stays cold), ideally with latches, at a cheapskate price. Doesn't need to be bear proof.
The extremes do not have latched atleast the ones I have seen and own. If you are camping starting like a Friday night and leaving Sunday afternoon the extreme will work fine but it will be 3/4 melted by then.

That tshelburn guy from your original post didn't do so well around here. Think he made it a couple days. What a douche.

Seems to me the fact that Yeti was/is willing to sue shows that the facts are they have nothing "special" to offer.
RTIC copied every aspect of Yeti and didn't have to spend any of the advertising money. Their owners should get jail time and the company and all assets should be turned over to Yeti. There's no reason for any company to be innovative and come up with new products if any hack can steal their ideas once they have marketed them and made them successful. Every time you buy an RTIC product you are backing a bunch of scumbags that just took a free ride.
YEAH PEOPLE WHO BOUGHT STUFF FROM THEM SUCK!!!!!!, SO SAYS THE GUY WHO JUST BOUGHT A 65, 45, 40 SOFT, TWO COOZIES, THREE DIVIDERS, AND A BASKET
Damn you are hard core white trash. I hope they apply this logic to everything my daughters epi pen will be free. Nothing else will ever be cured because your a scumbag but hey you got a good deal on a cooler **** scumbags.
Free market economy.  Patent protection available.  Yeti was not first, just marketed well.  They have no specific rights under patent law.  Love my RTIC cooler.  The scumbags were the Epi-pen makers who marked up an old, low cost drug into a device you paid $600 for.
You don't really believe that do you? Pelican never tried to sue Yeti because they had no reason. They look nothing alike. RTIC didn't even try to be different they tried to copy and steal Yetis business. That's why they settled. They made millions off steal from someone else and are hoping to have a customer base still afterwards. They are scumbags and all you guys supported them. If they made a half price cooler on their own that would have been cool but they didn't they copied a design that was existing and their only promotion was to compare to the highly marketed brand to up their sales even more. A bunch of scum bags you support every time you buy one.
