It’s almost football season, so we’re perfecting our favorite tailgating and homegating recipes! Whether you like hamburgers, wings, brats, ribs or something cooked with beer, we have everything you’ll need for the perfect tailgate party. We always like inviting friends to join our tailgates because the EGG is about community and having fun, so make sure if you’re inviting company you make extra - the food will be gone before you know it!     I've used a pair of all leather welding gloves for years... I can move a hot pizza stone, platesetter or cast iron grid... but I shake them off as soon as I can... The leather gets HOT and will burn you after you've set down the hot piece.

    Love my AR, spider/stone combo.  Easy to lift everything out for lighting.

    @mickey Dumb question, but you poke your fire with a wiggle stick during cooks?? Never have here, but almost certain my small needs the high que, I ran out of juice Saturday and had only been cooking 5 hours.
    Get the HighQ for the medium.  It will sit an inch or so higher but will allow much more air flow.

    If you load some small splits vertically or at an angle when you're loading the lump there will always be some wood burning.  Or you can just put in a layer of lump, 2-3 chunks of wood, another layer of lump, 2-3 more chunks, more lump... There will always be a chunk or two burning.
