  • Where's the Friday night thread? I'm ready.

I got one. What's with the Scary Clowns?  Bunch of punks. Come Halloween, how are you gonna be able tell a Scary Clown from just someone that wants to dress like a clown?  I know; if you stop talking about it, it will go away, cause that's what they feed on. Maybe a better subject is out there. Let's hear it. Beer me!
  • Re: Today's Xmas eve cook

    Looks like it was good.
  • Re: The Ultimate Peach Cobbler

Recipe says 1 cup flour, description say 3/4 cup. Which is right? Want to get this right.
  • Re: Corned beef - make my own

Mrs. 500 is concerned about eating bad. I said how can a boiled meal be bad. She said corned beef is fatty. So the Irish girl may not even have corned beef for St. Patty's day. I guess we could have just the cabbage carrots and potatoes. Not the same. I'm not going to push her into eating something she'll regret. She's on this weight watchers kick. So I need to get an answer out of her on this cause it takes 4 or 5 days for the cure. I want to see how your turn out @IrishDevl. I can live through you at least.
  • Re: Got the green light for a slicer; which one?

I'm hoping to find one in the $150 range.  Read good reviews on the Chef's Choice 615, but the Mrs. read that it was more of a "food" slicer and not a "meat" slicer.  Not sure of the difference, but meat slicer sounds more robust than a food slicer.
