  • Re: Brine suggestions?

Had tongue on the breakfast buffet in Mexico over the summer. It reminded me of Dinty Moore beef stew. Very rich. Made everyone try it without knowing what it was and they were all fine, till they knew...
I personally love beef tongue.  A very beautiful meat that makes the prettiest brown gravy.

Finishing my "honey do" list. Almost there. But another will take it's place. I feel like Sisyphus.
Hey There Nola, long time.  What I found to work well in my HoneyDo contract is a "beautiful weather clause".  It gives me the option to do whatever the heck I want to do when the weather is beautiful.  We usually allow the local weather guy to opinionate on the beautifulness of the weather and I go from there.  It took me 50yrs of wisdom and 15yrs of marriage to develop the negotiation skills to get her to agree to the clause.  :)

Man, that's bad to the bone.  Nice work!
  • Finally Done - Reclaimed Pecky Sinker Cypress Table

More pictures to come, but I just installed the doors and granite tonight.  The egg will hopefully go into the table this weekend.  Already planning my first cook with the new table....probably ribs followed by a brisket.
