You have to get creative to get below 200,. Try a few briquetts in a coffee can set in the bottom with a few holes punched in the lower part of the can.
I think you will find there are hotter and cooler areas and that they would cook more evenly if you rotated occasionally. Also, if you have been doing spares and these are BB's, these will cook about an hour faster. Hope this helps.
