Hi Folks, Just got my Large Green Egg. Can't wait to try it. I am a little intimedated by all you have to do regarding tempaertaure control but I will continue to read the posts before slapping a brisket or pork but on the egg. I have a BGE cooking class on 3/23 so I hope to learn lots about the BGE and what to try to cook as a first timer.

  • Just bought a large Green Egg and will be doing some steaks for the first cook on it. Will update once we get the steaks. We are thinking rib eyes at medium rare. Any idea what the tempertaure should be and how much hickory chips to add?
