Tell me about this lump reducing ring you use. Is it ceramic or metal? Where did you get it. I recently got an XLarg BGE and am wondering about how much lump I use. I've noticed when I did a 5 1/2 hr smoke there was quite a bit left. The next day I grilled and there is still some left. I'm going to refill before the next one.

Choke - (great name by the way), I saw you've posted before about the gloves on texasbbqrub. Quick question for you. What is the heat resistance of them. Mainly just for food items, or good enough for a hot plate setter, grid, etc? Appreciate the advice.
You previously posted detailed links about changing to a Rutland gasket on your BGE, however, those links appear to have expired. Is there any way to access them again? I just bought a Rutland gasket and would appreciate benefiting from you generous input.
Sorry, just found this note in the "Activity" section on the forum. That post came from the "original board". None of the pictures (from anyones posts) came over correctly. I'm going to try to fix them.
