    LOL - you are a real Spartan! That "gasket" isn't worth leaving on as you would be much better off scraping the rest off. Now if you wanted to buy a Rutland which should last you PROBABLY a lifetime I know a "gal who is married to a guy for 50 years now" who ships to Canadian Eggers all the time. The TOTAL price for a Large BGE is $18USD. OTOH if you have a drop point in the US it is merely $11USD.
