Finally had the New LBGE arrive and the folks set it up - also no charge. Anyone in the Aiken,SC/Augusta, Ga area need to go to Fireside to get supplies or purchase an egg. Very reasonable and some great folks... They also have Tues. night classes. Not sure how to post a pic so if someone knows I'll show the birth and clean startup....

I assume you are turboing those spares at 350 - right? If so then an hour in foil will definitely make them soft and may fall off the bone by gravity! They may even get a little mushy.

  • I'm going to get my large Egg on Thursday.... I've been reading this great forum with some awesome sharing cooks. I already purchased a Maverick 733 and Thermapop. I'm figuring on starting up the grill first and learn some temps. Deciding what to try first is fun. I don't want to mess up too bad so the kids would eat but I'd also like to cook low indirect with my place setter. Perhaps Wings, Ribs, or Spatchcock chicken. Some great tips about waiting and smelling smoke before cooking. Just wanted to say thanks to be able to see all these posts past and present. Hope to someday help some newbees myself....
