Gasket question

I had my felt gasket seal my XL BGE last night after a 680 degree cook and thanks to forum help was able to use a utility knife and open it. I put tin foil aroung the lower dome and this morning was able to open with no problem. My question is: Will the gasket get stuck now with every higher heat cook? Like 350-400 and up.
Thanks
Thanks

Doug,
It's possible but less likely than the new gasket.

I know they do make a high heat gasket that is suppose to tolerate hotter temps. The people that have them seem to like them.
