I've Been Gone, Now I'm Back

Let me summarize the last five days...

OUCH!!!

My Theme Song at the moment goes like this:

My legs are shaky and my knees are weak,
Can't seem to stand on my own two feet,
I'm in pain... I'm all shook up...

At least I'm able to be at home. That's a vast improvement over just how loud I can vocalize my pain.

Yes, it hurts like a SOB.

I can't stay up and chat but I did want to say 'hi' and let you know that I managed to read a few posts on my iPhone. Y'all have been busy.

Thanks also for the best wishes. Means a lot.

Gotta get back in bed.

Leroy, glad to see that you are back home and on the road to recovery! :)

I hear BBQ is a good pain reliever.

Glad you're home and surgery was successful. Hope you've got some stuff in the coop that you're only supposed to drink for medicinal purposes. :)

    LeRoy,

Lt. Bob and I are rooting for you. I've (Sundown) had both knees replaced and I agree, it is painful. But, go to physical therapy like they tell you and WORK and before long you'll be out dancing with MollyShark.

Hang in there! It will get better, and TAKE THE PAIN MEDICINE LIKE IT IS PRESCRIBED! You don't get points for hurting.

I've seen many patients go through the hell of knee replacement. They all seem to do GREAT as long as they follow the dr's orders and go through with the brutal demands of P.T. I wish you well and a speedy recovery so that you can be firing up the egg real soon!!!

    Hey Chicken:
I am glad to hear you are on the downside of the pain. It can only get better as each day comes and goes. Easy for me to say and you are the one going through this. All we can do is wish you well and send you our extra pain pills!
Take care LeRoy. You'll be standin' tall in a couple of weeks!

    Hey Sprung Chicken,

Glad to hear your back from the repair shop! Don't think of the pain my friend but keep reminding yourself how fortunate you are to be able to have it done. I was born with every joint in my legs needing replacing and will probably take them to the grave that way. Pain gets to be an old, old friend. By the end of summer you will be dancing that lovely wife of yours all over the state of Texas. You are a very lucky man! ;)
