first pallet of lump already in half

The first pallet of Royal Oak lump has hit our local Wally World sometime in the last 7 days. Today I grabbed 8 bags which took it down to half a pallet already. It was still $6.37 for 10# - same price as last year. I guess some others have heard the hint/warning/whatever about the probable shortage of lump due to the slow down in timber logging. In the past this Wal-Mart site has had lump readily available so I have to believe the word is getting out.

Yep,I've been buying Ozark Oak by the pallet.Last time I talked to em they said they are having trouble getting all the raw wood they needed! :( They have already shut down one kiln.

been grabbing 2 bags every time i go into wally world.... The wife thinks i'm nuts, since i have 200lbs of lump and growing...i told her i'm stocking up for next winter haha.

or he is letting other eggers know a local store has lump available at a good price, considering what we've heard about an upcoming shortage, which should mean higher prices....

LOL - I know what you mean and this is the honest truth - I panic when my lump supply gets under 350 pounds! I run out like a druggie looking for a fix! :laugh:
