I decided to cook some babybacks today and decided to try the ole 3-1-1 method. While I wanted to use CWM's method,I heard that Doug in Eggmonton was going 3-1-1,so we're competing :P  He'll post his later(he's still cooking) The winner gets a beer from CWM himself :woohoo: Here's my pics I started with this:
Then on the XL with hickory chunks and cherry chips(and rubbed them with Dizzy Dust):
Here they are just out of the foil(with apple cider vinegar and apple juice):
Just before saucing(I used Blue's Hog Original, cause wifey wanted them sweet)
Added the sauce to them:
And then onto the chopping block :woohoo: :
This one just fell apart :pinch:
Hope they look half as good as they tasted Thanks for listening

Thanks Tee-Jay,for a first cook,I would recomend burgers or chicken(or something simple that you're used to cooking)Get to know the egg and learn temp control BTW: No,I don't know them
-
Holy Shaat! :woohoo:
Poor Doug doesn't stand a chance today -
HAHAHA,,Steve,I wonder if he knows what he's missing :P That seal-meat is delicious :woohoo: MikeB hooked me up with some last year :silly: :P

TJ, ribs are easy. I've had my egg less than a month and have done 6 racks already. Follow Carwash Mike's rib class and then experiment a little with the time and temp. I like to foil mine for hour #4 to make them fall off the bone.
Spatchcock chicken has been the easiest cook so far and might a good early eggsperiment for ya.
Happy Egging,

Thanks JoJo

Your ribs look fantastic. I can tell that I still have room for improvement in my rib cooking, but it will be fun doing homework.

I disagree Pat,I think that Doug is gonna loose :P :silly:
