Did a turkey last weekend. Mine was sweating too. Both inside and out. All is good now. We had several cold rainy days beforehand. My guess is the ceramics can absorb moisture afterall. Nothing to worry about.

I had the same thing happen a couple weeks ago. I was a bit freaked out by it, but it didn't seem to affect anything. I suspect that it had absorbed moisture from rain as well.

hey thanks for the replys.
I thougth it was quite strange also. -
Smokingirl...Some eggs have even sweated out brown goop...nothing to worry about...just the Egg purging moisture and such. I suggest a good clean burn, and invest in a cover to keep the Egg out of the elements.

there was also brown goop that looks like it is baked on. I had a cover but it would not fit with the side tables on so i took it back. i guess I:ll get a tarp. it has been raining a lot in KC lately. Thanks

It was a little disconcerting the first time it happened to me, too.
