So last Saturday, I became a new owner of a BGE, (Yes, I was the one cleaning and polishing it in the picture at the 1st ever Nieggara fest).
Since having it i've attempted to do Burgers, steaks and grilled onion and red Pepper mix.
I LOVE MY BGE! I tried the steak recipe that was on the DVD and sure enough 6 min was all it took to cook my steaks to perfection...and they were DELICIOUS.
Tonight...prime rib...here's hoping for the best.

Hey dude,
Congratulations on your purchase. It was great meeting you guys. One of the great features of the BGE is you CAN kiss it without burning your lips! (That was funny)
Glad you had a great time.
Your next mission...post pictures. We like those. -
Congratulations, always good to see another Canadian egger. Looking forward to seeing your cooks. If you don't know already this forum is one of the best Egg tools you have. Feel free to ask any question. Also keep up on it, nearly every day a great new idea for a cook comes through. For example you should try little Stevens Sate, if you didn't taste it at the fest I can tell you for sure it was killer good  :woohoo:.

Congratulations. I'm not sure if we met at the fest or not, but I was probably the guy who cleaned the hot ash out of your Egg at the end of the day. Welcome to the forum. Mark

Hi Tread,
Welcome to the cult and as Doug said, it always nice to see another fellow Canadian egghead join the fold. I am happy to see that the Nieggara Fest has helped spread the word. It certainly was a great time.

Welcome tread, you're in the history book - the guy who pampered and kissed his egg at the first NiEGGara Fest :P

Tread...
It was great of Gary (Cannughead) to capture that moment...
We were all standing around shooting the $%#& patting ourselves on the back for a fest well done, when out of the corner of our eyes - there you were polishing up your NEW egg getting it ready for transport to it's new home. It was like watching a proud new parent. Did you put a seat belt on your new egg?
Secretly I'm sure we've all done that - but you my friend have been captured on film - for the entire community to see!
Glad to hear that your first cooks went well and I (for one) look forward to seeing your future posts / pics.
