I started looking around the web on Saturday. I wanted a charcoal grill because sometimes the gas grill (her name is Lula) just wasn't cutting it. A steak on charcoal is a sacred thing.
I saw the Egg, read posts from all of you who have made it a member of your families and pouted all evening on Saturday night when family requirements didn't allow me to go out and find one.
My retailer opened at 10am on Sunday and I was there at 10:27am. I bought it, survived all the cardboard paper cuts of setting it up and made some ribs...Oh my goodness did I make some ribs! I'll never be the same.

I'm in sales and I travel a lot. I had to leave my Egg this morning, and patted it as I walked off the porch. Right now its a race between my Egg and my dog. I do remember actually saying goodbye to my dog, so I guess I still love my dog more but...
Already plotting...or planning the cook I can do when I get home. It's a sickness. -
Haven't named it yet...I think Lula will stay around for a little while for green beans and corn. Reduced to a utensil in minutes. It's sad for a gas grill.
It needs a name. I'll work on it. -
HEHEHE,Mine are Larry(medium),Moe(small) and Curly(XL).Then I added the mini(still nameless) :laugh:I'll come up with something though BTW,I tossed my(never to be used again)gas grill the day after buying my first egg It was a cheap-a$$ gasser,but I knew that I would never use it again :cheer:

Talk about a quick conversion!! Welcome to the cult of thr Egg. Like many hear I use mine 3 or 4 times a week. Wife bought ours as an insiduse way to get me to cook supper every night!! :laugh:

Many thanks. I've been adventurous in my use of Lula (the gas grill), so as soon as I got the thing going (tried, and then decided to watch the CD) I knew all I needed was patience. No peeking. All the online reviews said it was easy to maintain a temp and there's a whole blog out there that said the guy cooks overnight while he sleeps. I figured if he could do that, I could cook ribs. I wanted the first time to be memorable (typical woman I know), and the Egg Rocked My World!
