Our local grocery store had boneless pork loin roasts on sale yesterday.."buy one, get one free". I bought two and brought them home. They're labeled "Pork Loin Roast-Boneless Center Cut". Is that the same as pork loin and can I use the standard pork loin recipies listed on the BGE website? I was going to use the Simple Pork Loin" recipe on page 5 of the cookbook.
By the way, the price worked out to $2.50 per pound after getting the freebie. I don't know if that's a great deal or not.
Thanks for any help or advice.

That is a portion of a whole boneless loin - I would guess probably in the 3-4 pound range. Any pork loin (not tenderloin) recipe will work fine.

Yes, it's a pork loin. The Simple Pork Loin recipe looks like a fine one. The only adjustment I would make is to cook at 275 rather than 300 and cook longer. But that's just a personal preference. Go for it.

Thanks, Rod. I appreciate it! :cheer:

That isn't a bad deal. At Sam's I can get 1 pork loin for 2.77 per pound or a case of loins for 2.27. So unless you want 60 lbs of meat in your freezer it sounds pretty decent. I am cheap, so I always get the case price.

Thanks. I may have to keep the temp up this time because I have a little bit of a time constraint. But I bought 4 roasts so I'll try lowering it the next time I make them.

I'm 53 years old and since I got my BGE a few months ago I started reading sale flyers from the local grocery stores looking for deals

Thee and me. Always checking the food ads. Today at HEB pork tenderloins $2.99 per lb.

In today's Shur Fine Supermarket adv. (Sinking Spring, PA) they have Whole Boneless pork Loin on sale for $1.98 a lb. "with your Shur Fine Gold Card" :woohoo: I'll need a bigger freezer soon!
