you know i'm big meatloaf fan. . . saw him at wolf trap in summer 06 ...too bad his voice is shot these days, otherwise a great show ... but he's not on bbq music list :0) . ..
you know, i find myself spending a lot of time over on youtube watching great concert footage of my favorite bands, from the the doobies, to yes, to ELP, to chicago (only the original band), even some classic steely dan .. .its great stuff .. .if there is a band you want to watch, you can almost surely find some great concert footage over at youtube. ..
try a couple of these for sure:
doobies live at wolf trap
heart covering zeppelin's "battle of evermore"
rolling stones "gimme shelter " (a great version recorded in china
chicago "dialogue" from japan back in 72
tina turner "nutbush city limits" from amerstdam
and many more. .. .
this was a great thread you started. ..have fun camping this weekend!! -

Presales for TPHB just went on sale today- I got two ducats for Tampa in July.
I hope the SB halftime show goes well for them... -
I either have one Angela had one....which means I have it now I guess. I used to listen to it when I was still going to college to fall to sleep. I couldn't tell you where it is now. When we first got married we had these blasted geese that hung outside our bedroom window at the apartment we lived in. I got her and ocean cd to listen too as we both worked the midnight shift and geese love to honk all day long. It had two tracks, Atlantic and Pacific, the Pacific one had a thunderstorm in the background.

im completely tone deaf and cant hear high tones at all. its not all bad, i cant hear kids crying, cant hear women when they are yelling at me so maybe the trade off is good. i dont play music at home but i do have a single speaker radio in the house for when company comes over. in the truck though, its all about how loud i can play it, it needs to be loud enough to rattle the rivets out, i need to feel the music thru the back of the seat. doesnt matter whats playing, infact since i changed out the tape deck last year i only have one 3 dollar mellencamp cd that just plays over and over. i think i liked the older tape decks better as a tape would wear out after playing for 3 months or so and i could just go buy something else to play for the next few months until that one broke, this cd has been playing for 13 months now and doesnt show any signs of wear, so much for technology as far as im concerned. when egging i listen to the sound of water lapping up against the side of the boat, up north i like the sound the loon makes as the sun sets. most people dont know that blue herons make noise, but the young ones can be real chatty.fukahwee maineyou can lead a fish to water but you can not make him drink it
