Been seeing more and more eggers talking about comps and getting in comps. Just curious for those of you competing in various events, what your team name is and handle here on the site.
Buster Dog BBQ,
Well we just did one under Huff BBQ because I couldn't think of a snazzy name. I've got one that might fly. I need to check the net to see if it is taken.[p]H
dhuffjr,
The bbqforum has a link to the team name database but dont rely on that being accurate. You can check that site for list of results and see if your wanted name shows there.
Buster Dog BBQ,[p]BYC=Backyark Club--[p]We compete in SCBA competitions. Placed in the money all times competed but my company got busy with work and unable to expand beyond Spring cooks. Look for us to post big time in '08. Plus our 4 XL rig will be completed by then..also doing many more whole hog comps..
Celtic Wolf,[p]Well sir, I for one thought you had a terrific final product. Greenwood was a pretty big cookoff with so many teams present. Just get it next time in Maggie Valley.[p]You should be proud that you turned in some quality products. My wife hinted more than once that I need to try and figure out how you did that brisket. She raved over and over about the sauce.
Buster Dog BBQ,
My wife and I compete as Egg and the Family Stone. We've only done 3 comps so far (all last year) and plan to do one in October.[p]Mike "Eggtuary" Stone
Celtic Wolf,We all have those weekends. I've seen big teams that cook nearly every weekend way down the score sheets. Maybe that judge has never ate good chicken.[p]Regroup and we'll see you again at the top,
Poppasam
Buster Dog BBQ,Jus-Fer-Fun Cooking Crew. My wife and I and any of our family or friends that show up. We been at just a few years but when we started we were pretty much by ourselves as a Total Egg Team. That has changed.[p]Good Eggin'
Poppasam
Buster Dog BBQ,[p]
Took my egg to its first contest this spring. I cook in the Kansas City area... team name - The Half Chickens. Were down to just a couple contests a year now. Little kids and busy summers make it tough to compete as much.
Smoked Signals,
Nope. My 9-year-old starts school a couple of days before that. Same thing last year, and it just made the start of school way too hectic.[p]You?
