Flat iron on the egg??

I've got a 2lb. flat iron steak I'm gonna grill tonight on my small BGE. Can I slow cook it with smoke, or do I need to quick sear it?

<p />mozer67,[p]I'm in the hot and fast camp here...definately!![p]10-14 minutes total (your doness level depending)...[p]turning once.[p]P10100272-1.jpg[p]Rest, and slice against the grain![p]Evans
I spent most of my money on good bourbon, and bad women...the rest, I just wasted!!

Chubby,[p]I agree, very hot and quick rather than slow and long for flatiron steak. I like bison flatiron compared to beef, but both are excellent choices. Just Malton Sea Salt and fresh cracked pepper as seasonings. Enjoy.........Eggcitable Boy

    mozer67,
I'm sure I'm too late to give advice but I pretty much agree with the others. I like Red Eye Express on flatiron because of the stronger flavor of the meat. Then basically TRex it, taking it off when it hits the low 120s with a rest afterwards.
