Chicken and Storm (first chicken cook)

Unexpectedly, it started storming. I put oil and several rubs on bone-in chicken thighs, and put them in the frig uncovered for a couple of hours. If I can't cook in the egg tonight will the chicken be okay for tomorrow uncovered? Or cover and then a couple hours before uncover again? Seems like the rub might get gloppy that way. First chicken cook - wanted to keep it simple.
They can be baked in the oven tonight If worst came to worst. Meh. Thanks!

They will be fine uncovered in the fridge until tomorrow.Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.
