currently I have the BGE thermometers in all of my egg's I'll be up grading to the large face smokeware thermometers and wanted to get some input as I'm not sure if I should pick the white or black face. I'm leaning toward the black but would love to know if it's hard to read at night time?
Thanks,

Put one on our store burn unit. Looks great imo.

Put a white one on my personal primo at home. I like the contrast idea.

But have you ever gone back? That is the real questionLBGE circa 2016 -
I have black ones on two of my Eggs. There is a single-bulb light on the house wall for cooking when it's dark, and I have no trouble seeing the white pointer dial on a black background with that dim light. VERY visible.
Also, I got in the habit of turning the thermometer so the target temp (say 350°) is at the high point of the top curve. I can see if the temp has been reached when the dial points straight up from quite a distance away. Or how close or how far past the target the dial is!Judy in San Diego -
