Mains:
2 quiche: bacon and ham, the other mushroom spinach.
Sides:
Grape agrodulce w. maple syrup and some pumpkin seeds.
Spiced nuts: cashew, almond, pecan
Desert:

Beer.

She uses fresh corn cut from the cob. First she fries bacon in the skillet and removes, draining some fat out of the skillet. Then she adds a 2T butter and half a chopped yellow onion. Once the onion is happy she adds a clove of minced garlic and a minute later, the corn (5 cobs or so) and S & P. She sautés this about 5 minutes and then adds a cup of water. Simmer for 20 minutes or until corn is cooked. At the end she adds the crumbled bacon back in and voila. Some times she'll throw in a little red pepper flake. And sometimes she'll finish it with a 1/2 cup of half n half. It is a winner brother. Happy thanksgiving.Sandy Springs & Dawsonville Ga -

I'm egging a couple of turkeys. We'll have the usual stuff. Something we have most don't is pea salad. Don't know how that made it to the traditional Thanksgiving meal but it's always been there. That and my moms cornbread dressing are my favorites.2-XLs ,MM,blackstone,Ooni koda 16,R&V works 8.5 gallon fryer, express smoker and 40" smoking cajun

SOS for T'day but SRF brisket (black) for the post turkey hang-over cure on Sunday. Now, That's the cook I can't wait for. And yes I will BGE the bird, ABT's for warm-ups and who knows what else before I need the clock box for the real-estate. Beyond that...Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

We are so non-traditionalists, we do anything but Turkey and each year we search the globe to find our next expression of freedom.
This year I'm doing a Classic 7 course French Dinner. I'm pairing courses and wines keeping the per-bottle wine cost under $20, and mostly under $15.
We're hosting 8 others this year, so it'll keep me on my toes.
Cheers to all y'all and here's to many more ...
Enjoy
