Anyone use these is so what brand? I did a bunch of research looking for one with a removable handle (apparently not enough) and ordered a awesome one by Schmidt Brothers (Amazon). Unfortunately when it got here today I realized that it was about 2 inches too big for my large...... Really bummed because it was a nice one!

I have a love hate relationship with those wire things. I love using them and I HATE cleaning them. I have an XL so I can't help you on a good size.XL, Small, Mini & Mini Max Green Egg, Shirley Fab Trailer, 6 gal and 2.5 gal Cajun Fryers, BlueStar 60" Range, 48" Lonestar Grillz Santa Maria, Alto Shaam 1200s, Gozney Dome, Gateway 55g Drum

Really liked the construction of this one, it would be great for you XL guys.

This is a great piece, caught it on clearance for cheap. Would easily drop 50 for it, fits in the large perfect.

Weber has one that fits a large egg.#1 LBGE December 2012 • #2 SBGE February 2013 • #3 Mini May 2013A happy BGE family in Houston, TX.

I have this one, works well. And @Thatgrimguy I agree, cleaning it is a pain. I usually run it under water and brush off most of the gunk, then toss it in the dishwasher.

Like the Lodge but was looking for something easy to flip. For veggies and fish.

I don't get the need. I understand the want and potential versatility with veggies. Not the need. Put fish right on the grate and turn it when it releases. Or put fish on a wood plank. Basket for me is unnecessary.Sandy Springs & Dawsonville Ga

Simple grill rectangular screen ($1-$3) that I bend to make a basket. I've been using the same basket for almost 6-8 months. And when it falls apart I'll bite the bullet and shuck out $1-$3 again
I don't use the basket for fish. However, leave it flat and it works well on delicate proteins and other food products.

BGE sells similar baskets with removable handles if that's what you are looking for. I'm sure they will fit.

Went with the Weber brand. After reading several reviews this seemed like the best option. Most space, best reviews, the only potential issue I can see is with the lack of handle.

I have about 3 grilling baskets. The one I like the best is very similar to this one and it fits great on the Large BGE. I like the NON Removable handles the best. This style can be used top and bottom together so you can flip on the grill or you can use the top and bottom individually.
After the cook I put it back on the grill to burn off oil and seasoning. It's stainless but black in color now.

Photo below is my basket. On the BGE I close the dome and leave the handles sticking out.
