Rescue Dogs
Options
One of the greatest things I can be a part of. Giving mans best friend a 2nd chance. Anything you can do means a lot this time of year. I have only been doing this for 8 months but have taken multiple dogs off the kill list and found them new homes. Even if you don't want to foster, give something(food/cage/money) to an organization in your area. I have no vested interest in any one organization. Just something that is close to the heart for me.

I have a rescue I would like to give back. She is a holy terror......but sweet as can be at the same time. She is our secound and is adjusting into our family. Forgot the training effort they require.... But well worth it in the long run. Appreciate all you do.

We have 2 rescue Golden Retrievers that are 9 yrs old now. We just went through our linen closet and grabbed towels and blankets for the local SPCA.Mckinney, TX

My wife and I have fostered over 10+ dogs, we failed twice and kept them both. The first we did was literally hrs before being put to sleep, and I can say she is the best dog I have ever had.

I was bitten by a poodle as a kid so I never liked them. In early October I get this pic taken at the SPCA from my wife saying, "we're bringing her home from the SPCA". A declarative statement, not a question. It's a Doxiepoo - dachshund poodle mix. Had her hair all shaved off due to bad skin condition. Only has a few teeth left. Worse breathe than even mine. Outcome? What a sweetie pie. Love her dearly. She is like an emotional support dog for my daughter. Doggie loves all over my daughter when she's having a panic attack.
Here she is now with hair grown back in.

I have read articles about people with PTSD, read Veterans, service dogs can sense when they enter stressful situations and help calm them down. Pretty awesome.

You know @NPHuskerFL every time they have those commercials on about abused dogs I can't change the channel fast enough. I too want to throat punch the morons who abuse animals. I just don't get it....for the most part I like animals better than people...XL BGE, KJ classic, Joe Jr, UDS x2
