Took pitted dates stuffed half with Chirizo sausage the other half Goat Cheese and almonds, then wrapped in bacon. Called for in the oven but what the heck egg time. Pre cooked the bacon and sausage some to keep the flare up down. Turned out pretty darn good nice contrast between the sweet dates spicey sausag, sharp goat and chrunch of almonds.
This will be a keeper.

@Randall_Lee. I find pitted dates to be dry, this time of year you may find them in your produce aisle around the nuts or figs. Often times they are used in pies around the holidays.

Red the date was a little dry before cooking but having never used whole pitted for anything before it worked. Good taste will play with different ideas now.Niceville, Fl
