I have a German dinner at church the end of the month. Does anyone have a "German" recipe for the BGE?

You could easily transition a sauerbraten recipe to the egg. Just lower the cooking temp in the recipe by 25 or so degrees to accommodate for the convection properties of the egg, you don't really need to, but stuff will otherwise finish faster at the same temp. German potato salad would be pretty easy to change too.

someone here posted this a while ago.  and i have seen the same things done with thick chops (which are the same hunk of meat, just chunked into chops)

Depending on how fancy... or not... your church is... you could easily do bratwurst with toppings such as grilled onions & mushrooms with some sauerkraut.

    Hi
try a Ham roast , make  rhombic cuts in the fatcap , season with salt black pepper ,thyme , place it fat site up in a castiron skillet at some dark German beer and meat stock , chopped carrots onions and celery root , place the skillet  in the Egg at 250F when you get the iternal themperature you want , glace with a mix of Honey and Beer (20/80) than higher  the themp in the Egg to 300F and crisp up the fett side , make a sauce of the liquid in the skillet , just add some heavy cream and mix it , salt and pepper to taste ;)
