The Gold Ribbin' BBQ Fest of Greater Green Bay (a KCBS BBQ Competition) has incorporated a amateur BGE rib competition this year.  A local dealer is providing us with brand new 20 LBGE's and charcoal on which our contestants will cook.  We will provide you with 2 racks of ribs and you work your magic. 

The Competition is at Lambeau Field on July 11th!  $50 entry fee.  Space is limited!  Follow the above-link for additional information about the event!

    That's interesting. The sponsor or dealer is providing 20 brand new eggs for the contest, but I see no mention of them trying to then sell them for a discount. First rodeo?

    They will be preselling and selling at a discount and yes it is our first rodeo with this egg-thing...we just want something small to add to the Midwest's largest KCBS competition.

    @victor1 the event is open to the public on Saturday.  Lots going on...eating contests, kids que, bean bag tourney, kids activities, etc.

    PS: The competition sounds fun!  We just had a BGE sponsored rib competition a few months ago here in the Twin Cities.  They had 37 teams come out this year.  Should be a fun time for everyone

    @weberwho?  Given the Vikings record as of late at Lambeau I wouldn't want to be a Vikings fan at Lambeau either;)

    You're right though, it should be a good time...we've got teams coming from all over the country who are fans of lots of different teams.  We do our best to convert them, but it's that Wisconsin hospitality that always shines through!
