Good idea! I'm anxious to see if you find some items commonly used around the diary that can become a unique item/solution for use on your egg! I happen to have 3 sizes of a extremely high temperature ceramic material commonly used in ag chemical production. I use them in conjunction with  my "spider" from the CGS to create a low hung diffuser for indirect, which allows far more capacity. Over the years we have had folks from various professions and livelihoods come up with some unique items. BTW a belated welcome aboard!

OTOH - not ALL great ideas move forward meaning some get left in the past. For instance...here is an iron "cage" in which you would insert a Weber cube or two and then bury it in your center lump before lighting. Not sure who made them or tried to promote them but @Mickey gave me his!

Ooooops- I forgot to tell you they do rust!!!

Man I had forgotten all about those. Can't recall who gave me a bunch to pass out. Not one of the better inventions....

@RRP You should have posted the pic and seen if anyone could guess what it was. Or just say you found it in a bag of Royal Oak

@Mickey - I bought one of those when I started egging. Tried it 2-3 times.  Pretty useless.
