OK @THEBuckeye what is the deal with forks?
-
@epcotisbest well in Wisconsin you never use a fork on a brat...matter of fact...why puncture any meat product....I know that I never want to jab something pointed into my meat! Perhaps to learn about this you need to go to FORK-U

The Dude..a Mini and a Large Egg..a DigiQ DX (BGE Green)..some Cast Iron...a Thermapen.............and an Ol' Fashion

Epcot, it started here. Nice pic which happened to include a fork. THEBuckeye objected.
Yeah, I know... We don't get it either. LOL

I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

Your pics need to be 'Bon Appetite' cover photo worthy and forks are acceptable, though not recommended.
Nothing can be eaten without it being pierced by something, teeth included. Get over it, A.K.A. "Let it go".
Ah to heck with it, just use your fingers.Hood Stars, Wrist Crowns and Obsession Dobs! -
clean fork = ok
dirty fork = bad
I can't explain it, it just is. Two camps on here, those that ignore the fork thing and those that will continue to highlight forks in pics. Mostly it's just good natured ribbing for an innocent comment made 6 months or so ago.

Ribbing is long lived here. Carolina Q nailed it. That thread started it.

Ha, I have that one bookmarked because I want to try the raspberry sauce Matt mentioned. Still haven't done it though... Unfortunately, it involves stirring and serving with a dirty spoon!theyolksonyou said:Ribbing is long lived here. Carolina Q nailed it. That thread started it.

I think this thread put me on the map somewhat... Was a great cook for sure and the aftermath was certainly epic.
Thought about making an alternate account under "ThatDirtyFork", however I barely have enough time with my own username.------------------------------

So here's the deal.
This Forum, without pictures, would not be the same. Folks post pictures of their cooks, ingredients, etc. etc. Most of them are great. And then, there are the obligatory plating pics. Again, most of the plating pics are great. I've posted a few myself.
While I want to see your great looking plate I do not want to see your dirty fork on or around the plate - the fork with food remnants that has been in your bated-breath mouth
I took a ribbing from several of you on the forum about my thoughts on your dirty forks. It was taken in good fun so I've continued the "NO FORKS!" when I see the photos with forks. "Clean" forks have gotten the NO FORKS! message too. I don't discriminate between "clean" and "dirty" forks.
So, when I happen upon a plating pic with a fork I am compelled to remind my fellow Eggers, NO FORKS!

That is funny. Thank you for the reply @THEBuckeye

@THEBuckeye it is sorta humorous. FWIW I prefer no forks in my pics it disturbs my Feng Shui plating.
So, fear not mine are fork free
Slicing or other knives are common in my prep pics though.

I follow the forum religiously and I must have missed where the "NO FORKS" campaign began. Thanks all for clearing this up! I find it quite humorous by the way.L x2, M, S, Mini and a Blackstone 36. She says I have enough now....eggAddict from MN!

Okay...so how does everyone feel about food with a bite taken from it? I am guilty of this one. Sometimes I forget to take the pic before the first bite.
Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg. -
