Brutal.

Juxtaposition of conditions.... I've gotta mow the yard this morning. Gotta do it early before it gets too hot (been 85 degrees the last few days).

Must be hard to snowmobile and ice fish in weather like that. However you can Egg in any temperature though.UncleFred said:Juxtaposition of conditions.... I've gotta mow the yard this morning. Gotta do it early before it gets too hot (been 85 degrees the last few days).

earth has been warming ever since the ice age. Shocking!Cookinbob said:I believe that global warming is real, but you can't prove it by the weather up here. Snow keeps falling, we have not had a thaw, so it just piles up. After settling for a week it is about 18" deep, above the seats on my patio chairs even!
I'm glad I put the small in the garage so I can grill without too much effort or inconvenience. -
While we do get our snow up here, we do not have to worry about tornadoes, hurricanes, earthquakes, blazing summer heat, poisonous snakes, or giant cockroaches, and we have all the fresh water we'll ever need. It's great to build a fire in the fireplace and look out the window at all of this. It's not so bad, and the summers are awesome. And of course, I could and would dig out the XL and fire it up if I had an opportunity for a big cook!XLBGE, Small BGE, Homebrew and GuitarsRochester, NY

Hey, I'm not knocking winter in New England (I use to live in Albany) I mean Christmas has never felt right when it's 80+ degrees. ...and ya can't beat Fall.
The main difference in the summer time, besides the mosquitoes, ticks, black (green?) flies that bite is that, as I remember it, if it was mid 90s in the daytime it would still be around 90 at midnight. Here, no matter how hot it gets during the day it's ALWAYS in the 70s by 10-11 pm
Finished the yard work... For some reason the picture of my weather station display won't post, but trust me it's 80 outside.

The author of the article is a conspiracy nut case. He even had been caught using false quotes in his book "The Real Global Warming Disaster." Not too long ago people thought the world was flat and that the earth was in the center of the universe. :-) -

Not sure, but I think you got this backwards to support your theory. The guys who said the world was round were called science deniers and heretics. Everyone agreed the earth was flat, settled science. Not the other way around. Science and consensus are diametrically opposed.dstearn said:THEBuckeye said:

Not really. Very few thought the earth was flat. It has been "settled science" since Eratosthenes figured out the earth was a sphere when he determined the circumference. By "science deniers", you mean to say "educated" since the areas of the learned world at that time was Greece and the Middle East(Egypt). The flat earth concept was prevalent in pre-science societies.pgprescott said:
