    Is a vine ripe, fresh banana as good as a such tomato? EGGED bananas are a great side or makins for dessert.

    They are much softer and sweeter than store bananas.  The go ripe in a heartbeat, and only last a couple of days.

    BTW those larger ones have grown a bit crazy one grew well over 2 lbs but was odd , is because I left it too long?

    Looks to me like you have two varieties.  That can happen if you get volunteers coming up after a season.
