+1 on foil ball

I use the weber grill brush also... Works great for me...Rowlett, Texas

Google swallowed brush bristles and you'll quit using it. Aluminum foil works great with no possible harm.
Green egg, dead animal and alcohol. The "Boro".. TN -
grill brush?
I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

Isn't that what waiting for the good smoke is supposed to do...self-cleaning BGE grids...YMMV-Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

I have a grill brush but, the crud mostly gets carbonized with the egg's heat and then most of it is gone always. @cazzy does the HDAF ball work on SS grid and CI grid both? I've never tried it.LBGE 2013 & MM 2014Die Hard HUSKER & BRONCO FANFlying Low & Slow in "Da Burg" FL

Yes! For goodness sakes...just say foil. Lmfao at your obsession with saying HDAF. My foil must not be as heavy duty as yours is. :PNPHuskerFL said:I have a grill brush but, the crud mostly gets carbonized with the egg's heat and then most of it is gone always. @cazzy does the HDAF ball work on SS grid and CI grid both? Foil! Ya. I've got to update my phone's personal dictionary. It changes half the stuff w/out me even noticing. Yup it's pretty heavy duty. :-P I'll give it a try on my next cook.LBGE 2013 & MM 2014Die Hard HUSKER & BRONCO FANFlying Low & Slow in "Da Burg" FL

Ya no $hi+! Like I said can't figure out how to delete or edit this personal dictionary crap! That and if a word is misspelled boom saves it to "personal dictionary". I hate it! That is pretty damn funny though. Googling how to delete this crap as we speak! )
Edit: found it»»» deleted over 580 obscure acronyms and obvious accidentally misspelled words. I wish there were a way to disable it all together.LBGE 2013 & MM 2014Die Hard HUSKER & BRONCO FANFlying Low & Slow in "Da Burg" FL -

Guess I will just wade in the deep end of the water here...after years of going through the cheapie BBQ grill brush route made with inferior production methods producing short lived results I went with this stainless steel higher quality stainless steel wire brush! Here is a picture of it as a "baby" fresh from Menard's. Even now years later it still has all the wires, they are NOT bent over and when I think it is dirty I stick it in the dishwasher!Re-gasketing America one yard at a time.

jhl192 said:I must have had 10 different grill brushes over the years. Most of them did not work too well. For the past 2 or 3 years I have been using the Weber grill brush pictured below. It seems to do the job and lasts an entire season unlike most. Knowing this group however, if there is a better mousetrap, someone on here will know about it. What is your favorite grill brush?

Not sure if BGE makes them any longer, but I currently use a BillyBar. One time purchase, and it stows easily.
Had some damage issues recently on a new Weber OTG. Talked to the VP of Weber over the phone. He sent this brush and a digital therm for my troubles. The brush is solid, and the replacement heads flex/snap into place. Have used the Weber triangular brush posted and they work great too. Foil isn't bad, but found it doesn't remove the tough, caked on stuff. Foil is a great tool all around.

I use this. Typically wait until the grill is hot and use the Grate Scrape to knock down existing residue. Look at it this way, if it doesn't work you can always chop it up and use it for smoke! But it does work and is harmless and attractive.
