Well our travel plans have been nixed due to the weather expected around here on Sunday into Monday. Hoping the ice they are talking about isn't too bad...
The friend who was going to watch our dogs is still coming over tonight so that sounds like a perfect reason to fire up the egg. I just ordered some Rockwood from Firecraft that I will pick up later this morning after I hit Wegmans and the liquor store.
Not sure of what I'll be cooking tonight, likely some steaks, chicken, and veggies... Also have to figure out what to make the rest of the weekend as well.
Hope everyone has a nice weekend!

Good luck. We are getting a damn cold blast right now through the weekend. I'll see -35 or -40's at the house before windchills tomorrow. Your right, this is a never ending winter. I'm getting sick of it. Look forward to some more pics. Stay safe.County of Parkland, Alberta, Canada

Bone chilling here in CT now and looks like its going to stay that way for a while. Snow expected Monday. Nothing too creative on the Egg since I will want to minimize my time outside. Maybe pizza's or a Spatchcock Chicken?XL BGE; Medium BGE; L BGE

Every time I turn on the news, our snow totals keep going up...
Back from Firecraft earlier, 3 bags of Rockwood and a quart of Pineapple Head
Cold as hell this evening. So for my cooks...
Big pot of chicken stock will be defatted over night on the deck. Not sure if I will be making matzo balls for it or using the stock in something else like some Kale, Potato, and Andouille soup.
Tonight...
Doing some shrimp on the egg, grilling them and then tossing them with some EVOO, lime juice & zest, black olives, and cilantro for a little appy sort of thing.
Chicken breasts for the ladies, and some Certified Angus NY Strips for the menfolk. Doing some sauteed mushrooms for the steaks.
Sauteed spinach with a little garlic, andouille, and white beans for a side.
Picked up some Fat Bastard Cab for wine and a bottle of 10year old Talisker Single Malt for my buddy and I...
Tomorrow for brunch I am going to try and make Emeril's Chicken & Andouille Hash...
Past that, not sure... thinking about trying the Dr. Pepper Pork Butt method with a chuck roast...
Pics to follow in a bit

Right there with you Hap. Hoping the Sunday/Monday crap turns out to have minimal effect in PA. Just got back from Minneapolis and minus 50 degree wind chills. I'm tired of global warming and polar vortexes. Chicago deep dish pizza tomorrow, with the dough in the fridge overnight. Stay warm and keep Egging.__________________________________________It's not a science, it's an art. And it's flawed.- Camp Hill, PA

Nice lookin cook. The egg is going to be quiet this weekend. Anniversary party for my inlaws today and birthday party for the kids tomorrow. Wife wants to make some Greek marinated chicken on Sunday night. I might bake it on the egg. I'm ready for winter to be over. I want some warm days to sit on the patio with a stick and some gentleman jack.Mark Annville, PA

It's already overcast here. Forecast is now for freezing rain and then 5+ inches of snow. Can't wait!

Yep... Clouds thickening here. Last forecast I saw has us with 8-14" of snow with a little ice. And then a chance of some more later in the week.Eggcelsior said:It's already overcast here. Forecast is now for freezing rain and then 5+ inches of snow. Can't wait!

Back from the store... About to make to make the matzo balls for the soup. Picked up some stuff to stuff the chicken later, I'm again going to try and debone it.
Based on last weeks dessert, I'm going to do the cobbler again except this time going with a mix of berries and a little rum.MSV Chill Spot

Here it is stuffed and tied. Just have to get the egg fired up and stable. Going around 375-400 indirect with pecan for smoke. Once the chicken is done, going to do the mixed berry cobbler.

Had a blowout on the chicken. Covered it in foil and just waiting for the IT to get to 160 to be safe.
