Last weekend's cooks(lots of pics)

So I am finally getting around to posting these but both were great. I made fajitas on Saturday and lasagna on Sunday.

I did the APL Fajitas from Serious Barbecue. He has you make a pan sauce to dredge the meat in half way through cooking and then again at the end

Here is the flank steak after marinating and rub:

I got some pepper and onions all sexy on the grill, but I forgot to shoot the onions.

While the vegetables got all sexy, I painted canola oil onto the steak:

Then onto the grill:

Sexytime!

After the searing, into the pan sauce:

Then back onto the grill to "flavor bomb" the steak and then back into the sauce.

Beautiful! Last shot, hungry SWMBO was becoming angry SWMBO:

Sunday is Funday, so I made lasagna, naturally.

This was layered noodle, meat sauce, mozz/ricotta mixture and mozz/parm on top.

While cooking, I prepped a fresh tomato/balsamic salad with some flaked sea salt:

Nice and bubbly:

Gooey and smelling awesome, first serving for the progeny:

Someone must have got themselves a new camera.

Beautiful food, beautiful pics, beautiful baby girl!

Those fajitas look and sound incredible.  I might buy that book just for this recipe.

Which came first the chicken or the egg?  I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

Found this on the interwebs. It's the same thing from the book.

    8 tbsp melted unsalted butter
    1/4 cup finely chopped cilantro
    1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
    4 garlic cloves, zested
    1 tbsp oregano
1 tbsp crushed red pepper flakes

Great pics of some good looking food. I have to agree with the others, though- money shot wins the prize.
