Big Green Egg - EGGhead Forum - The Ultimate Cooking Experience...
We hope everyone enjoyed their Fourth of July weekend and is excited for more warm weather grilling! This week, we’ll be making these two burgers: Stuffed Portobello Mushroom and Caribbean Chicken, and also eating lots of these Ice Cream Sandwiches in honor of National Ice Cream Month! It's time to think about getting out to one of the many #EGGfests around the country - see a list here

Need grilled veggie help

I'm a meat and potato guy. So grilling vegetables is very foreign. Any suggestions for a grilled veggie combo? Got the grill basket. Can get my hands on squash and other stuff. Any suggestions?

I like to cut them whatever mood I am in, zuccini, yellow squash, eggplant, large portobello shrooms, long ways or discs.  Marinate in Italian salad dressing few minutes and place in grill in basket or on grate depending on size turning every so often.

PS asparageeses are great also, somwetimes wrapped in proscuitto.

Mushrooms, red onion, bell peppers are staples here. There is (or was) a grilled veggie recipe that has a simple but good Asian marinade over on Naked Whiz's site. We get compliments on it all the time.

Cut veggies cut a little thick coat with olive oil, S&P and you favorite spices and grill. Onions garlic EVOO leave intact. Peppers can be grilled with or without oil. Greens beans are good on the egg.
One of our favorite veggie cook is the clean out the bin cook. Take all veggies season with EVOO, herbs bay leaf and pepper flakes, tightly seal the foil and cook till done.(nuke the taters for six min on high so they are ready with rest of veggies)
Veggies and egg were meant for each other.
