Why no Eggfest in Birmingham?

I continue to see more eggheads on here in the Birmingham area. What are we going to have to do to get a festival of Eggs around here?

Why don't a few of us plan on meeting at tannehill for camping and egging in May? Gotta start somewhere.  I can see if we can grill there. Nothing crazy or official just a few of us land and egg the weekend away.

Sorry double post. Birmingham is fine. Don't need a bunch of Bama fans in my hometown...might be ugly.

    How about an LSU fan?

BIL lives in Vestavia, I want to convert him to eggheadism.

you think it'd be easy to convert one, my dad loves my egg'd food but refuses to buy an outdoor "oven".  I think he's just stubborn.  He is building a hug outdoor kitchen right now and adding a smoker and gasser, but wont get an egg....

  • My folks just moved to Phoenix from bham. They were just off cahaba valley rd. :)
  • I like the idea of gathering at Tannehill. If anyone is interested, our church (North Shelby Baptist) is having a "Taste of the South" deal on April 20. I'm a one man team, doing BBQ and ABTs or something. Got room if anyone feels like dragging their egg down to do whatever

Is that why? I could've sworn it was originally scheduled for the 20th. I'm kinda upset because the 'Bo Bikes Bama 2' thing is coming through my hometown on the 27th. Gonna have to miss it...

I am guessing you all mean Birmingham USA not Birmingham UK which is a bigger shame as we don't get ANY eggfests in the UK and we have to make very long and expensive flights to attend.  Having said that we have had great times and met some fantastic people the wrong side of the pond when doing so.

    Have fun
