Big Green Egg - EGGhead Forum - The Ultimate Cooking Experience...
It doesn’t get much hotter than the EGG cookin’ in July! Make sure to keep yourself hydrated with a bit of whatever you’re using for the Beer Can Chicken. Ice Cream Sandwiches are also a great way to stay cool. Looking for some great ideas for a summer cook out? Try out a Pimento Cheeseburger or Dr. BBQ’s Spare Rib Surprise. Just don’t be surprised if your neighbors stop by for a quick bite when they smell what you’re cooking!

Big Green Egg headquarters has moved - come visit our new showroom and check out the museum and culinary center too! 3786 DeKalb Technology Parkway, Atlanta, GA 30340

@jerryp - I am a big fan of the Kickin Chicken, used to be my go to before Jack became my friend. I have been experimenting a little lately thanks to Hap

@jerryp I have a buddy that really enjoys Wild Turkey and drink with him often, from 101 to russels reserve, rare breed, I think I like the Rye the best.

I live right in the heart of the Kentucky near the Bourbon Trail.  I was sitting here drinking a Diet Mt. Dew and you guys have motivated me to have a cocktail.  I have Woodford, MM, Knob Creek and Blanton's Single Barrell.

    BSB/Rocks.

    Thanks Guys!!

Don't think I saw eagle rare on the list. Pretty good and decent priced

I am a big fan of Maker's Mark and their Ambassador program is pretty sweet, especially since its free. I can't wait until next year when my barrel will be ready and I can go dip two bottles from it. It makes for a very good Old Fashioned or Manhattan and of course is great on the rocks.

The ice mold and bottle sweater were two of the free gifts they gave out to Ambassadors around Christmas every year!

@solson005. Thanks for the heads up. I've been an unofficial "ambassador" for 15+ years...just haven't been getting credit for it. I just signed up. :-bd

No problem @Que_n_Brew its a great thing to give to some loyal customers. The gifts aren't always that cool but usually pretty neat stuff. I'm sipping on a old fashioned right now using the ice mold I try to have a gallon ziplock full of the ice spheres incase anyone comes over for a cocktail.

  • My standard bourbon is Buffalo Trace.  Would love to try Jefferson's if I save up enough money.  We also like Bulleit and Knob Creek.  I think Basil Hayden's is good but too delicate.

  • Beam if you're cheap.  Basil Hayden if you're authentic.
