Christened the new cook zone with a schezuan shrimp wok. I know this is about as authentic Chinese as TexMex is authentic Mexican, but it sounded good. I thought I had over done it, but wow, it tasted wonderful.

Sorry for the typo in the title, for anyone that caught it. How ironically distasteful.

What a cook Doc...
So, the "most dense veggies" get into the wok first.
How long for the whole cook? Looks like about 8 min.

I time everything, and monitor heat. You can't do that with the wok. I think this was around 10 - 12 minutes. Garlic, peas, radishes, then corn, bamboo, carrots, then onions and peppers, then shrimp, then mushrooms, then noodles. You should have ginger at the start, but I did not realize we were out.

Nice look cook! Have you considered cooking some items and then removing them from the wok and cooking some more and then adding everything back into the wok for the finale?
-
That looks great nice job.

That's the way I used to do it when I wok'ed inside. Doesn't seem necessary over the coals, but I don't claim to be an expert on this by any means. This falls into the I'm happy with what I get category.

Wow Doc, that looks fantastic! I was just thinking about a chicken schezuan. I saw a bottle of sauce in the oriental aisle and immediately thought of finding a recipe online. It was a busy afternoon and I forgot....but not anymore!

I have to say, this web site drives me nuts. You load photos n order, then it reorganizes them.

I was looking at your woo trying to figure out why it did not look like the one I was going to get. That is until I figured out you have an XL BGE. I think your pictures have pushed me over the edge. I will have to order my spider and wok from CGS.
Mama always said, Grilling was like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get. -
timekpr1 You will love it, woking is a blast, and you can do so much more than just Asian cuisine if you chose.

Wow. I need to get a Woo. Can someone explain what all it does and what exactly is a spider?
What do I need for a Large BGE?
Can it hold a pizza store raised as well?

Not wok, but how does this grab you?
You can do anything on a BGE.

Aviator CGS has all the info you need. I personally don't own their products, but I know they have a lot of happy customers. http://ceramicgrillstore.com/
