Parboiling removes much of the flavor and should be avoided at all costs ....
It's old school ... grandma use to cook that way and all meat had to have the shite cooked out of so you didn't get sick! Anyone remember this too?

You can do it. There was a competition last year on the other site of who could do the fastest ribs. I think the fastest cooked them first in a pressure cooker and then finished them on the egg with BBQ sauce and lots of smoke. Hey, if you're in a hurry and need a hot rib injection, ya do what ya gots da do! AM I RIGHT??
