When smoking butts and or briskets, do you guys prefer to use a drip pan? If so, do you put anything in it? Or how many of you just let the drippings fall on a covered or uncovered (with foil) heat diverter?

I use a drip pan with foil unless I'm using a disposable aluminum pan. Those drippings are quite versatile in their uses

I have always used a drip pan. Have seen some eggs that the owner did not. Damn! It's a mess.Living the good life in MACDonna

I use a disposable foil pan but I don't sweat it if a little hangs over or whatever. About once a month when I do pizza, the whole thing gets cleaned anyway.Be careful, man! I've got a beverage here.
