Well, it the 3-month anniversary of the XL BGE purchase. Got my BGE last November, and burned through 70lbs of lump so far. Can't tell you how many cooks, and of what type, etc. - memory isn't that good. That's about 23lbs per month.
But - curious to hear your rate of lump usage.

Average about 10-15 lbs a week. Usually cook 3-4 nights a week. If you can find a bulk buy going on in your area it makes a huge difference in cost. I was paying $24.00 for BGE lump. Got in an a bulk buy of wicked good lump for about $15.00

Howard,
Good to see that you are putting that XL to good use. I just did a turkey this weekend on my Med. Keep your eyes out for any good deals on lump in Rochester and let me know and I will do the same.

Ive been using the Royal Oak but can only find the 10 lb bags here in VA. I bought every bag Wal-Mart had because I was having such a hard time finding any. Guess I will keep looking around until I can find any other deals around here.
