Little snack - EVOO and Richard's Holy smokin chipolte on the mini with some Jack Daniels oak chips

Here is my last roasted garlic . . .
I love roasted garlic and I picked up a 3# jar at Sam's of already peeled garlic. It went into the dutch oven with a little oil and salt. Stirred frequently till done it was an easy cook. I froze it in small containers and found it very convenient to have on hand. I am long over due to do it again. :cheer:

Frank, that is my kind of plate right there, some of the best food on earth. Many years ago my wife (then girlfriend) used to go to a little restaurant in down town Philly that had a roasted garlic appetizer; when served it look much like your first picture, & they would serve it with crusty bread & a big bowl of roasted long hot peppers floating in olive oil – I think we ordered that 100 times. Thanks for the reminder & the great pictures, you always do excellent work. Now I know what’s on the agenda for next weekend, Marchappy in the hut

Frank: Awesome! (Hope the whole family had some along with you! :S ) :laugh: That looks perfectly roasted! Was that indirect? Direct? Can't tell from the pic if I am looking at a pizza stone, or fire ring. I have only done these in foil and in clay...never direct on the grid. Thanks!

Looks like a perfect way to cook garlic after shutting down the egg from a cook?Salado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Plus a couple Pit Boss Pellet Smokers.

LC - It was direct on the mini at 300 dome. Was planning on 250 but overshot and put them on anyways. Looked/felt done (squeeze test ) after 1-1/2 hours so I pulled them off.
