1st Cook of a Hanger Steak

While I was in Plano this past weekend, Hornhonk was kind enough to escort me to Restaurant Depot Sunday and I picked up 3 Cryovac Hanger steaks. Trimmed the outer fat and removed the silver strap, per Fidel's post below, and grilled on my Small tonight. No pics but Teresa & I were impressed. Very tender and quite flavourful. After trimming, I slathered melted butter and applied Dizzy Pig cowlick on half, and salt, pepper, garlic on the other. Cooked to Med Rare @400 degrees. Thanks Hornhonk for this kind gesture. This will be repeated.
