which of these should i try? can get them easily enough.
cod (atlantic), bluefin tuna, chilean sea bass, orange roughy
aside from the fresh caught striped bass, swordfish, and some shellfish, we haven't had a nice chunk of fish lately off the BGE.
any thoughts?

CSB gets my vote.

I would say cod.
My rule is unless you live a few files (KM!) from the ocean always buy frozen. Interesting how local grocery stores advertise 'fresh' cod and BC salmon...I don't see any oceans in Ontario. Actually when I pressed the clerk he admitted that 'fresh' meant recently thawed.
I grew up in New Brunswick and 'fresh' was reserved for buying off the boats.Dave

Go with the Patagonian toothfish
It's always a winner. -
I haven't tried the last two.
Cod is good, but I find that white fish tends to flake apart too easily for the grill (but then maybe I'm thinking haddock, not cod)
Tuna is always good and very different from the other fishes.
so my recommendation- I dunno. hopefully you've already eaten and weren't depending on me. -
Tuna or bass! The others would require skillet or cage as they are light and flakey. All are tasty so you have to think about the method of egging.

Blue fin tuna! Why do you keep changing your name? Honest, I just missed something & do not get it.
-
You don't need no special pans...here's how I do cod on the egg.
-
never saw those pics before. looks great

tough to decide. they say the cod is overfished.... dunno about the others.
thx -
nah. i think maybe the chilean sea bass instead
-
thans bob-O.
big tree branch down in your yard (in the paper). that oak?
i think you are all set for chunks for the duration -
gonna try for bass. this weekend. thank you
-
tuna is a close second...
as for the name. don't worry, sometimes there isn't a reason for everything. and sometimes a person just can't 'get' everything. gotta be one of those reasons... -
maybe a pot stirrer?
-
Try harder than you did last time you went fishing. You sucked.
-
i was in awe of your skill, frankly. that last one must have been 12 ounces at least
-
AMEN!!!
-

I'm surprised that the GREENERS did not assualt us in unison when mentioning the CSB,I tried to play along! :(

Don't eat Bluefin Tuna. Save one for grandkids to see in an aquarium. Get the line caught tuna out of Hawaii.
Don't mean to be too preachy; I'm a recovering Toro addict myself. -
Cool! Only Tuna I eat comes from a can or in a sushi bar when I'm REALLY drunk.
-
FYI...There is an ORGANIC carrot shortage this year!!!
